Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! We were over at the Bella Moss Foundation reading the testimonials and wanted to share with you all ’bout them so you would #1 be aware of how serious this superbug is and #2 to go and help the foundation!!! So I’m gonna share parts of a few stories to entice you to hop over there. I’m not gonna do my usual musings today bepaws we gotta work on the captions fur our book with Dr. Elliot and a nutritional consultation. Duke is a German Shepard
This is Duke, our 7 year old German Shepherd. A few months ago Duke became very ill. He had contracted a Clostridial infection which was rapidly destroying tissue and muscle around the top of his leg. Our local Vet was unable to deal with the condition and Duke was referred to an animal hospital. Following extensive surgery (twice) Duke was left with open wounds for several days while the vets went away to a conference!!…

Jessie is a Staffordshire
Our dog Jessie contracted MRSA on April 15th after going in for a routine spaying operation. The vet said everything had gone well and she should be back to her usual active self the next day. The following day she was really ill, wouldn’t eat, drink, being sick, shivering and generally lethargic – this didn’t change for a week…..

Ebony is a German Shepard
My dog Ebony has been on antibiotics since the beginning of last Summer because of ulcerated areas in her hind feet and under her right armpit. My vet has taken routine swabs from the infected areas regularly but the one that came back in January showed she had MRSA…

Rupert was a Bernese Mountain Dog
Rupert – 30 December 1996 – 11 December 2004 Rupert came to live with us at just over 7 weeks old, a bundle of woolly fur weighing over a stone with huge paws. We planned to call him Darcy as we had recently seen the tv adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. However, he so resembled a bear cub that he could have no other name but Rupert….
