Study links lawn chemicals to cancer in dogs

Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! This is an old news item but it is still impawtant fur you to know this bepaws so many humans still use chemicals and pesticides in their yard that can hurt us animals, the environment, the whole eco-system! WOOF! We get hurt bepaws we lay out in the yards and little dogs who have long bodies and are low to the ground like Scotties, Dachshunds, Corgis - well you get the picture - are in contact with all those ucky chemicals a LOT!

Purdue researchers hope to study children next
WASHINGTON - A study that links lawn chemicals to bladder cancer in Scottish terriers could help shed light on whether they cause cancer in some people, U.S. researchers said in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medicine Association.

For their report, Purdue University researchers surveyed 83 owners of Scottish terriers whose pets had recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer. read more
