Arrrooo fellow pets and humans! We are proud and honored to be the USA Rep for The Bella Moss Foundation who has in the last year been very implemental in bringing much needed change to veterinary protocol in hygiene practices in the UK. The goal is worldwide of course, but Jill Moss, the founder, started in her home country partly in reaction to what happened to her beloved dog Bella, and also to help prevent this from happening to other pet caregivers. Here is mom to tell you more, WOOF!

I just wanted to let you all know about this conference taking place this summer in the UK:
International Conference on MRSA in Animals: Epidemiology and Infection
This is being put on by The Bella Moss Foundation and I am the USA Rep for this foundation. Jill Moss founded this organization to prevent MRSA in pets, and to change veterinary protocol regarding this superbug, very antibiotic resistant staph aureus. I hope you all will spread this news for us.
Please go post in the forum there too because we need to help explain the natural approach to preventing MRSA -keep in mind that there are veterinarians and nurses (vet techs) who post there a lot. Jill would like us to share about what health really is verses disease, and we can even start our own thread. This is the direct link to the forum Pets MRSA Forum
Thank you all in advance!
Here is additional information on what will be discussed on farm animals, horses, dogs, etc.:
International MRSA conference in UK agenda
Just for you to see, here is what staph looks like on the OUTSIDE of an infected dog, imagine what this does to the inside -this dog contracted MRSA during a stay in a boarding kennel. Jill told me of a dog who went into the vet hospital to have cancer removed. The owners were told the dog would recover and live a fine life. The dog died two weeks ago from MRSA, infected through his catheter after surgery because the vet tech was not wearing gloves.

This could be YOUR dog but it can be prevented.
