		<description>Hi Wm Simmons,

I honestly don't want to go against anything your vet has prescribed or told you. I do believe there is always hope. And it starts with changing things we are doing.

What many people fail to realize is that drugs or pharmaceuticals will not heal us or our animals. They were never designed to do that. But there is healing in nature. Not always but far more often than you see with traditional care.

But there is more you can do to help your dog.
If it were me, I'd begin with the diet. There are of course herbs to help with heart conditions but you'd not want to begin doing that without guidance and help - the meds and herbs can contraindicate each other.

I don't think it's wrong to keep a dog alive if you're doing all that you can to help them live a quality of life. There are also alternatives to the traditional "putting to sleep" of a dog. This is a personal decision to make and not usually an easy one.

&lt;b&gt;Sites to help in that area are&lt;/b&gt;:
http://www.spiritsintransition.org - holistic vet Ella Bittel's site. She specializes in acupuncture and hospice
http://www.brighthaven.org - can help with guiding you on considering hospice or when to know when to put your dog to sleep.

I know this may not be the answer you are seeking but I hope it helped some.

this is a wonderful friend and family dog , my children are coming home for thanksgiving and i felt it was important to let them say good bye
 any input will help
