		<description>Hi Candido,
Well I'm not a veterinarian and cannot tell you what to do with your own dogs. However, the voluntary vaccines are ones I choose not to vaccinate my dog with because of these reasons and a whole host of others. The only one mandated by law is the rabies vaccine. So again, it is up to you, as your dogs' owner and advocate to make these decisions for your dog. Your vet does not have the authority to do so without your consent. The decision to vaccinate must be yours. I have a lot of information here to help educate on vaccinations and their possible harmful side effects and even death, so I hope you'll bookmark this site and read them. Personally if my dog had had a reaction once, I would've chosen to not vaccinate again. I believe you can in some states get even get a waiver for the rabies vaccine IF your dog has reacted before. For the other vaccines, it is entirely your decision to make. So the idea is we need to be informed about several things and I can assure you, no one will inform you, you'll have to learn on your own:
1. What the nature of a dog is
2. What they need to thrive
3. What vaccines and medicines are by choice and not mandatory
4. How you can fight to change things if you desire to be a part of that

Part of what we all need to learn is WE, the owners, are the ones who need to make these choices for our pets NOT the veterinarians. They are paid by us therefore contracted by us to work for us. They are not in the business of illness prevention but rather disease treatment. Once we can get that into our heads, then we can make better choices for our animals.

We find veterinarians who will work WITH us, not as the autonomous deity that we all make them out to be. I work with a couple who are really great and will be happy to provide you with their contact information or you can find their links on the righthand side of this site:
Dogtor J, Dr. Dwayne Hubbard, and NYC Holistic Veterinarian (aka Dr. Jill Elliot)

A new organization you can join to make your voice heard is www.naaor.org (The National Alliance for Animal Owners Rights) It's brand new and just growing and I'll be on the board of this new organization. We all need to work together for the changes we want to see.

I'm really, really sorry for your loss. This should not be happening but the only way it will stop is for us to be informed and then share that information.

You can also contact Laura Simpson at www.dogadversereactions.com

I sure hope this helps to some degree. It will never get you your dog back, but I hope it helps you to gain some knowledge so it never happens to you again.
