Puppy Power?

Grrrrr, got my hackles way up on this one. As IF this human gives a happy about us animals. In fact, before you read how wonderful it all is about HSUS (Humane Society of US) rallying for us animals in Washington, maybe we all better get some facts straight first:
1. This is NOT a 50 year old organization -the writer in this article is confusing HSUS with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
2. This is NOT the American Humane Association either. Although HSUS doesn’t mind everyone confusing them with these organizations bepaws everyone just sends them money thinking they’re helping us animals bepaws they are confused about which humane organization they’re sending money to, grrrrr.
The facts are that HSUS gets millions and spends NONE on shelters. They have NO shelters at all to help animals. They DO have LOTS and LOTS of money that they are spending wooing legislators though. Mr. Pacelle says he doesn’t own any animals bepaws he travels too much. Here is a quote by him and then you can decide why you think he doesn’t “own” any animals, WOOF! Here is the quote followed by the article:
“We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. . . One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding.” Wayne Pacelle, Senior VP of Humane Society of the US, formerly of Friends of Animals and Fund for Animals, Animal People, May, 1993
NOTE: Wayne Pacelle’s initial training was similar to that of other PeTA activists. Today he heads HSUS under the guise of “legitimacy”. It is the largest and most profitable of the Animal Rightist lobbying organizations.
