For the past two weekends, I have been taking a course titled “Healing” at Salve Regina University. This is a very important class for me; what I will learn will be essential material for my dissertation, “Healing the Human Spirit: The Human Canine Continuum.” My classmates have been a mix of nurses, therapists, and social workers, and though I wasn’t the only student to arrive with animal fur stuck all over my navy blazer, you can be sure that I was the only representative from the professional field of dog divas in the room. continue reading this article here
