Time for a summer cool down with Mandy
By Shadrach on Aug 15, 2007 in Featured Animal Friend of the Week
This was how high the snow was in my backyard this past winter here in NM. My good and real life friend Mandy below wouldn’t even have been able to get through my yard. The photo below is her front yard and I know she’s grateful her mom, Sue Ellen, was able to give her a clean walkway, WOOF! We couldn’t meet at our favorite place – the park – for a whole TWO weeks after these snows hit us, WOOF! My mom & dad played with me a LOT in our backyard though bepaws I LOVE the snow -but I stilled missed my girlfriends Mandy and Mishka! How is this for helping you to all cool off on this hot summer day ruh? Hehe.

Mandy checking out the weather

Mandy snoozing in a small dog bed in Dillon…here is how her mom shares the story:
Thirty-pound dog in a ten-pound dog’s bed (note overflow, chin on windowsill). Burr, the terrier, has a new dog bed which is shaped like a life preserver ring. Her ten-pound self fits exactly in the center of it. Bill & Gwyn got out Burr’s old dog bed, which is just right for a dog Mandy’s size. Mandy was so pleased she spent most of an entire day in the big dog bed, snoozing or gazing soulfully out the glass doors. Finally, Burr told her to knock it off. Faced with the grr-faced Burr, Mandy got sadly out of the big dog bed, and Burr got in. Then Mandy decided she could sleep in the life preserver bed, which she did the rest of the time we were there.

Mandy’s mom explains this photo:
Dog at sea (hard to tell if she was enjoying the view or wondering when we were going to break out the picnic lunch).
Have a pawsitively tail waggin’, chilled out summer day, WOOF!
