Hehe, you thought it was something else but this is a story about a dog…and a woman…and a man. Yep, Rex and the City is a true story (well with some names changed to protect their privacy). Rex is the name of the dog in the book but the dog’s real name was Wallace. The author, Lee Harrington was inspired to write this book BEPAWs of Wallace, WOOF! And she contacted me and asked if my mom would read the story to me so I could do a review here on Bark N Blog. Truth is, Mom hogged the book all to herself, grrrrr.

She laughed and laughed and laughed out loud all the time when she was reading it…I thought she’d gone more kookoo than she already is, WOOF! Well Lee wrote us a postcard with the book and said she’s a HUGE Mastiff lover! So that was good enough for me. I’m content to just be loved and adored hehe.
The book was born out of Lee’s column in The Bark magazine. It has now evolved into a second book but you’ll have to come to the show to find out when it comes out. In the meantime pick up a copy of the book and read it now so you’ll have all your questions ready for the LIVE show on January 29th!!! To give you a hint, Rex is a dysfunctional rescue dog picked up from a shelter and the turmoil that ensues all because of one medium sized dog and how the man, Ted, the woman, Lee, and the dog, Rex have to figure it all out while living in New York City!
Well you’ll just have to read the book and you’ll be doggone glad you did…um there are a few potty words in the book so it’s not appropriate for human children.
Have a pawsitively tail waggin’, Rex and the City day, WOOF!
