Yippee, ANOTHER BIG dog this week! Niko the Bernese Mountain Dog is with me. He lives with my guest from last week, Myone the Irish Wolfhound – their mom apparently loves us BIG DOGS like my mom does! They had some difficulties after Niko got a rabies shot but things are all better and they are totally cool with each other once again, WOOF! You can read his story below Niko’s mom shares with us…
In his Mom Melanie’s words…
I imported Niko when he was 9 weeks old from Hungary. He was actually a gift from my Hungarian friends. He came with one set of shots in 2004. He did not get the rest of his puppy shots but did get a rabies at 6 months and again in January of 2006. He has been on a raw diet most of his short life so far as he was switched in 2005 but was actually raw fed when I got him and I continued half and half with him until I made the complete switch.
Melanie continued…
I did not notice much of a problem with him until he had that second shot and then he went downhill from there; attacked my Irish Wolfhound, Myone, and shredded him as you saw in the last email pics and became fearful and started having problems with his ears; inner ear infections. Many $$$ spent on him for vet visits, meds, etc with no success. He is slowly recovering with homeopathics and a raw fed diet and no further vaxs. He has not been to a vet in a few years.
and finally…
He is gentle once again and he sleeps with the cats/kittens. ~ Melanie
Have a pawsitively tail waggin’, NATURALLY healthy, vaccs-free, raw meaty bones day, WOOF!
