I’m often asked to be a tester of different natural pet products which I typically am pretty happy to do, especially if it involves TRUE raw meaty treats, WOOF! This time however it is with a little embarrassment I share my latest product testing.

When we first moved to this new house a little over a year ago, I was very disoriented and anxious bepaws I’d lived in our previous home since I was a pup of 4 1/2 months old. As you all know who read my blog regularly, I just turned ten years old in August of this year. That was a long time to live in one place, have the same routine and no other. With a whole different routine, new dogs, etc., and a new environment I got sick to my tummy one night and bepaws my humans didn’t wake up to let me outside, I ran into the spare bedroom as far from them as possible and went poop. That is only the second time I have ever gone poop in the house of which I’m mighty proud bepaws I pride myself on my discretion.

When my humans discovered my mishap in their new house on fairly new carpet they weren’t too happy but they were mostly upset with themselves for not hearing my needs. They cleaned it up as best they could but the lingering smell of something not quite right, while not outright smelling like poop, just not right, bothered them. It was especially noticeable during the hot summer months bepaws of how the sun beat down upon that bedroom.

SeaYu Enterprises has just surveyed customers to find out what matters most about pet wellness.

Pet owners in the survey consider nutrition to be the most important aspect of their pet’s wellness (60%) followed by affection/play (17%) and disease prevention (11%). An overwhelming majority – 94% – said they were concerned with the negative effects traditional cleaning products have on their pet’s health. With good reason – according to the Environmental Protection Association (EPA), typical household cleaning products and air fresheners are one of the leading contributors to poor indoor air quality. The agency reports that poor indoor air quality can lead to health issues; animals have faster metabolisms and smaller lungs than humans, and not only are they processing these chemicals at a faster rate, they are also breathing them in more rapidly. Because animals are closer to the ground, they are more often in direct contact with these harmful substances.
